MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — Economic stimulus checks are hitting bank accounts nationwide amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Should you spend the government relief money immediately or save it?

HOW TO SPEND YOUR STIMULUS CHECK

  1. Pay your bills
  2. Create an emergency fund

To get a better idea when your stimulus check will arrive, visit the online tracker on the IRS’ website. Be patient, and do expect a wait. The Get My Payment site is experiencing heavy traffic right now. However, be sure to grab your tax return information and your social security number before you log on. You will need it.
