US Bank Stadium hosts Wednesday job fair

Several part-time opportunities are available, starting at $14.25 an hour.

MINNEAPOLIS — U.S. Bank Stadium SKOL Service Partners, who provide staffing for the many events held at the Minneapolis stadium, are hosting a job fair on Wednesday.

There are two time slots for applicants to apply for the open part-time positions. There's one earlier in the day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a second opportunity from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. If neither of those times fit your schedule, you can also apply for the jobs online.

Positions range from guest experience and cleaning, food and beverage jobs, security, and jobs working at the stadium's team store.

To apply in-person, people are asked to go to the North West Legacy Gate at 401 Chicago Avenue.

More information and online applications are available here.

If you don't see your perfect job available on the website, you can fill out a form to be contacted when that position becomes available.

Numerous employers across the metro are trying to attract new hires, and some are even offering bonuses ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer for retail and hospitality.

Punch Pizza is offering a $10,000 bonus for new managers, and Blue Plate Restaurant Company, which owns several restaurants across the metro, is offering a $350 hiring bonus for hourly positions with the $100 being paid out when you start, and the remaining $250 paid out after 90 days.

Blue Plate said they're also offering incentives to current employees to keep them on staff.

Leaders with Hospitality Minnesota say, as of last month, the industry that normally employs nearly 300,000 people was down over 80,000 jobs.
