The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension conducted a two-day undercover human trafficking operation this week that led to the arrests of 11 people and the recovery of 18 victims.
A Facebook post by the BCA said the following:
Three people were arrested for sex trafficking and promotion of prostitution. Eight were arrested for solicitation of a minor or solicitation of prostitution of under 16 years of age.
18 trafficking victims were recovered and offered victim services.
The operation was conducted in partnership with officials from Anoka, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, sheriff's offices. The Blaine, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Buffalo, Minnesota, Coon Rapids, Howard Lake, Minneapolis, City of Rochester, Saint Paul and Upper Sioux police departments.
