Blue rooster now installed at Sculpture Garden

Standing at 20-feet tall, a new, giant blue rooster has found its home at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

MINNEAPOLIS - Standing at just under 25-feet tall, a new, giant blue rooster has found its home at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

The piece, an iconic statue made famous by an earlier edition that was featured in London, was installed in the garden on Thursday. It's all part of the garden's multi-million dollar renovation and expansion that, when said and done, will feature 18 new works of art.

Hahn/Cock by artist Katharina Fritsch arrives at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

The rooster is located near the infamous "Spoonbridge and Cherry" and was created by German sculptor Katharina Fristch.

According to the Sculpture Garden's website, "the playful piece blurs the boundaries between iconic symbol and the everyday."

The Sculpture Garden will reopen to the public on June 3.
