EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Eden Prairie Walmart has reopened after being closed for several hours while police investigate a bomb threat made to the store on Monday, according to authorities.

Police say the bomb threat was made to the Walmart on 12195 Singletree Lane around 11 a.m.

Authorities closed both the store and its parking lot, while the investigation continued. Around 1:35 p.m., police say a sweep for explosive devices in the store found nothing suspicious. The store was cleared and reopened a short time later.

Police did warn residents to avoid the area, including Singletree Lane and Regional Center Road, until the investigation could be completed.

The investigation is ongoing.
