Chaska Curling Center to serve as USA Curling National Training Center

The partnership will run through July 30, 2019, but the hope is to make a longer-term agreement.

The Chaska Curling Center has been named the USA Curling National Training Center, the city of Chaska announced Wednesday along with the center and USA Curling.

The agreement started last fall and will run through July 30, with a plan to review the partnership and extend it further.

This means the Chaska Curling Center will be able to host national events with USA Curling. 

In addition, the USA Curling High Performance Program and Development Program can use the Chaska Curling Center for practices, camps and events.

In a few months, the Chaska Curling Center will host the 2019 U18 National Championships. The event runs from March 13-17, 2019.

The Chaska Curling Center opened in December of 2015.
