ST. PAUL, Minn. - After a 10-year run on the corner of Cleveland Avenue, the Chatterbox Pub in Highland Park has closed its doors.
The owners, Steve and Andrea Miller, posted a Facebook message Sunday night announcing the news.
"It is hard to believe that Andrea and I, along with an amazing staff, opened the Highland Park Chatterbox Pub in Saint Paul 10 amazing years ago! Over that time we have been privileged to share in the lives of so many great employees and guests," the post stated.
In related posts, the restaurant stated the final decision was made late Saturday and they officially closed their doors Monday. They say they are trying to transfer as many employees as they can to other locations -- they still have spots in Edina and south Minneapolis.
"We sincerely look forward to being able to have more time to focus on the Original Speakeasy in South Minneapolis founded in 1923 and our fantastic Linden Hills Pub on France Ave S, in SW Minneapolis, and of course have a bit more time for our four kids," Miller wrote.
"Andrea and I are deeply thankful for all of our fantastic staff and guests. We could never have done these last ten years without them and are eternally grateful!! Please visit us across the river as we have great things planned for 2016!!"
