1 dead, 2 injured in North Minneapolis shooting

MINNEAPOLIS — One person died and two are injured after a shooting in North Minneapolis Sunday.

The incident took place on the 5100 block of James Avenue North at 4:17 p.m.

An altercation occurred at the doorway of a home prior to the shooting, according to preliminary investigation by police.

Police say the suspect fled on foot.

All three of the victims were transported to North Memorial Medical Center by ambulances. Two of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries but one was transported with life threatening injuries and later died.

Police are working to find and identify the suspect.
