MINNEAPOLIS — A 20-year-old man died at Hennepin Healthcare (HCMC) days after getting shot in Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood.
The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) said officers responded to a shooting shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, in the area of West Lake Street and Grand Avenue South.
The injured 20-year-old was taken to HCMC.
"On December 6th, 2023, MPD was informed that the injured male had died at the hospital," according to the MPD release.
Police said the preliminary investigation shows that the victim "was in a surface parking lot with friends when shots were fired from a passing vehicle."
Police reported no other injuries.
The release indicated that no arrests have been made in the case.
