The Anoka County Sheriff's Office responded to a fatal single-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Highway 65 in East Bethel, according to officials.
The northbound lanes of Highway 65 at Viking Blvd. were shut down for an extended period of time while the crash was being investigated.
The driver was identified as a 20-year-old Reiley Hoopman from Isanti and was pronounced deceased at the scene, the state patrol said.
Preliminary investigation suggests the vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 65, went off the road and crashed into a traffic control light, according to officials.
This incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiners Office and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
