MINNEAPOLIS — An additional arrest has been made in the New Year's Eve murder of a Minneapolis mother and real estate agent.
Minneapolis Police spokesperson John Elder announced on Wednesday that a 38-year-old has been arrested in connection with the murder of Monique Baugh.
The 28-year-old Baugh was found fatally shot in a Minneapolis alley on Dec. 31, 2019. Investigators believe she was lured to a house for a showing and then kidnapped. Her boyfriend was also shot at his home the same day, according to court documents.
Cedric Lamont Berry, 41, has already been charged with murder and kidnapping in the case. And Elsa Segura, 28, has been charged with felony kidnapping for allegedly making the phone calls that brought Baugh to the scene of the kidnapping.
Elder says another suspect was arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with the case. The person has been booked into jail on probable cause murder.
