ANNANDALE, Minn — An 85-year-old man was arrested Thursday after his wife of 65 years was found dead with multiple stab wounds.
According to the criminal complaint, Rodney Allen Andersen called 911 to report that he stabbed his wife in their Annandale home. The victim was found by police on the kitchen floor with "obvious stab wounds."
The Wright County Attorney's Office identified the victim as 82-year-old Janet Louise Andersen.
When speaking with officers at the Annandale police station, the complaint says Andersen told them he and his wife had been married since 1958. He said they argued "continuously," telling police "I guess I lost my head."
In court on Friday, Andersen's bond was set at $1 million with conditions. He returns to court next week.
