MINNEAPOLIS — A 10-year-old boy is in critical condition after getting shot in the stomach late Sunday night in St. Paul.
According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers responded to a home on the 700 block of Sherburne Avenue just before midnight on a report of a shooting. Police say they believed someone outside fired shots inside the home. The boy was struck in the stomach, and transported to Regions Hospital where he is in "critical yet stable" condition, according to officials.
The shooting is still under investigation, but police did say they don't believe the shooting was random.
