MINNEAPOLIS — Federal prosecutors have charged a Minneapolis daycare worker accused of producing images of child sexual abuse. Now officials are asking anyone who has children that were in contact with him to contact investigators.
Eric Phillip Allen, 39, was charged in Hennepin County Court earlier this month after tips to a national organization led investigators to recover more than 1,200 images and videos on his phone.
In the criminal complaint issued against Allen, county prosecutors say he told investigators he was employed by a daycare located at a Minneapolis church.
Investigators believe there may be other victims relevant to the investigation, according to a press release from federal prosecutors. Anyone with children who have been in contact with Allen are encouraged to contact the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension at 1-877-996-6222 or email bca.tips@state.mn.us.
