Abdirizak Mohamed Warsame of Eagan was charged Wednesday by criminal complaint with conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - An FBI agent says a Minnesota man who faces terrorism charges once boasted that he was capable of building rockets that could threaten planes landing at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, and that he once worked there as a baggage handler.

FBI Special Agent Daniel Higgins testified Tuesday at a hearing for 20-year-old Abdirizak Mohamed Warsame, of Eagan. Warsame was the 10th young man from Minnesota's Somali community to be charged since April with terrorism-related counts accusing them of plotting to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Becky Thorson ruled at the hearing that there is sufficient probable cause to support the charges, and that Warsame should not be released from jail. The case will now go to a grand jury for an indictment.
