ISANTI COUNTY, Minn. — Investigators are seeking suspects after a man was found fatally shot inside an Isanti County home Wednesday.
Isanti County Chief Deputy John Gillquist says dispatchers received a 911 call from a resident of Spencer Brook Township around 6:30 a.m. reporting a person who had been shot to death. Responding deputies and police officers from Cambridge and Isanti found a man inside the home who was confirmed to be deceased.
No one else inside the residence was harmed.
The BCA crime scene team was called in to process the scene and collect evidence, while agents are assisting local homicide investigators.
Sheriff's officials say preliminary evidence indicates the fatal shooting was a "targeted incident" and that there is currently no danger to the community. Still, Gillquist says no suspects have been identified or arrests made.
