In March of 2019, officers of the Inver Grove Heights Police began an investigation into Herb Spa after it was determined that acts of prostitution may bet taking place there.

The business raised suspicion because it had no signage, the door was locked at all times and customers were required to ring a doorbell to go inside.

Additionally, police found a website that had customer reviews of Herb Spa that mentioned the illicit services they had received.

Officers executed a search warrant and located two women living inside the business.

One woman confirmed she was from California and had been working there since February. She told police she pays Wang rent and that Wang retains half the profits she makes from the services.
