MINNEAPOLIS - There was a renewed push for justice in the death of a north Minneapolis boy killed nearly three years ago.

On Tuesday night, the family of Terrell Mayes held a rally to remember the young boy killed in his own home by a stray bullet.

Mayes would have turned six on Tuesday.

In his honor, loved ones blanketed the neighborhood and called for new leads in the case.

Terrell's mother believes that someone has to know something. She said she won't stop until police find and arrest the person who pulled the trigger on that December night.

"At the end of the day, as long as I keep my faith and lean on God, it's going to come on his time," Marsh Mayes said. "He just wants me to be humble about it."

Minneapolis police are still working the case.

There is a $60,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
