NDSU student's death ruled a homicide

The death of a North Dakota State University student from Sartell, Minnesota is being ruled a homicide.

SARTELL, Minn. -- The death of a North Dakota State University student from Sartell, Minnesota is being ruled a homicide. The body of 18-year-old Thomas Bearson was found Tuesday in Moorhead, about five miles away from a house party where he was last seen early Saturday morning.

Bearson was a 2014 graduate of Sartell High School. He was a four-year letter winner on the school's basketball team.

Bearson, a freshman, was last seen around 3:40 a.m. Sept. 20, outside the residence of 824 14th Street North in Fargo.
Police located the body of Bearson on Tuesday morning on the property of Larry's RV Sales located in the 3000 block of 24th Avenue South in Moorhead.

Police say Bearson's left shoe and cellphone have not been located. The cellphone is described as a silver colored iPhone 5 and the shoe is a white Nike Air Jordan tennis shoe, size 9 1/2.
