MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police said a 7-year-old boy is now safe after the vehicle he was in was stolen from a gas station.
The SUV was stolen at a Holiday gas station near Target Field around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police called the incident a "crime of opportunity," and John Elder, the MPD spokesman, said the suspect drove about two blocks before letting the boy out.
The boy was not injured. Police said they're still searching for the suspect.
