Police investigate homicide in Minneapolis

Officials believe this is not a random act of violence.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating a homicide in an apartment Sunday evening.

The incident took place on the 1900 block of First Avenue South.

Police said they found the body of 29-year-old man.

Officials identified the victim as Isiah Lamarr Smith.

Authorities believe this is not a random act of violence.

Smith died of multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death has been ruled as homicide, according to the medical examiner.
