EAGAN, Minn. — Authorities say a man was shot and killed in Eagan around 7 p.m. Saturday on the 1900 block of Silver Bell Road, in the area of the Shoppes of Cedar Grove.
The man has now been identified as 33-year-old Eagan resident Faisal A. Abukar, and was pronounced dead at some point on Sunday, according to the medical examiner assigned to the case.
Police say the suspected shooter fled the scene, crashed their vehicle, continued their flight by foot, and was later apprehended by local authorities - at which point a weapon was recovered.
This remains an active investigation, and police have released no further information at this time.
