MINNEAPOLIS - Minneapolis Police are looking for a white van they believe is related to a "brazen sexual assault" in north Minneapolis over the weekend.
Authorities say a woman was reportedly forced into the white, full-size, 12-person passenger van in the very early morning hours on Saturday. The woman told police three men grabbed her and then sexually assaulted her inside the van before forcing her out in the Tangletown area.
"It was one of these vans that have multiple bench seats in the back," said Cmdr. Bruce Folkens. "The middle two rows of those seats were out of the van. So it just had a back seat and two front driver seats."
She said they initially grabbed her near the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Girard Avenue North.
Investigators are looking for the men in the case, as well as the van.
