BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A significant search effort overnight failed to turn up suspects in the shooting of a man at a Brooklyn Park apartment complex.

Brooklyn Park police say squads were dispatched shortly before 11 p.m. to the Brook Gardens Apartments on the 5500 block of 69th Ave. N after calls reporting gunfire. Officers arrived at the scene and found a man with serious gunshot injuries.

While some officers performed lifesaving treatment others set up a perimeter and called in both a K9 unit and the State Patrol helicopter. Despite a large-scale search, no suspect was located.

The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
