ST PAUL, Minn. — A second teen charged in a shooting near Allianz Field told investigators, "I'm not getting shot again, that's why I shot him," according to the criminal complaint.
The 16-year-old is charged with possessing a pistol as a minor, and second degree assault with a dangerous weapon in the Oct. 20 shooting.
KARE 11 is not identifying the suspect because he is a minor.
According to the complaint, St. Paul Police officers were working the Allianz Field detail for a Minnesota United game at about 7:30 p.m. that night when they heard gunshots coming from the Culver's parking lot nearby.
Police responded and found two people with gunshot wounds. One of them, a 16-year-old, told police he had been riding his bike and felt a shot hit him in the back. He was later charged, with prosecutors saying that surveillance video showed him get off his bike, get behind a dumpster, pull out a gun and fire multiple shots.

Now another 16-year-old has been charged as the first person to shoot in the encounter. The complaint states that he told officers he recognized the teen riding by on his bike as "an opp," meaning opposition.
The complaint says he told police, "I know what's going on, too many people have been dying out there ... I know everybody has guns."
He reportedly went on to tell detectives that he had been shot a few weeks prior, and according to the complaint, he said, "I'm not getting shot again, that's why I shot him."
Shots fired in the exchange also hit a vehicle, missing a child in a car seat by a few inches, the complaint says.
