SAVAGE, Minn. — Savage Police say three people are in custody in connection with the death of a teen found shot in a Target parking lot.
The suspects are a 44-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman and a 16-year-old, all from Prior Lake. The victim, who is also 16, was located around 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. He had been shot in the head and was bleeding profusely, but was still semi-conscious and breathing.
Police called for first responders and the teen was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he would die of his injuries one day later.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the teen who was killed as Samuel Alvin Keezer.
Investigators began to look into the shooting, and on Tuesday arrested the three suspects. All of them are currently held in the Scott County jail on pending charges of second degree murder.
Police identified the suspects, but KARE 11 does not name them until officially charged.
Savage Police are being assisted in the case by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), Prior Lake Police and the Scott County Sheriff's Office.
