ST PAUL, Minn. — According to the Ramsey County District Court, Marcus Baker has been charged with murder and attempted murder, while his brother Brandon Baker has been charged as his accomplice.
According to court records, Marcus Baker has been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder in a shooting that occurred on Oct. 27 in St. Paul.
Brandon Baker has been charged as his brother's accomplice for "destroying or concealing evidence of [the] crime or otherwise obstructing the investigation or prosecution of that crime," according to the court's complaint filing.
The court document states that police responded to shots fired near the intersection of Kent Street and Central Avenue.
After arriving, police located a victim, an adult male, near the intersection of Dale Street and St. Anthony Avenue, slumped over his steering wheel, having suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Region's Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
There was a second victim in the shooting, but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
