FORT WORTH, Texas - Surely the Fort Worth Police Department officers were saying "the Force is strong with this one" after interviewing Darth Vader.
The department posted a hilarious spoof recruitment video that won't win the officer any Oscars, but will certainly make the residents of Fort Worth quiver in fear at the thought of the Sith Lord as a cop.
While going through typical interview questions - accompanied by Darth Vader's trademark heavy breathing - Darth admits that his experience ruling the galaxy should help him serve the police force well. Get it? Police force? We crack ourselves up.
The officer asks some hard-hitting questions: one specifically regarding the destruction of the ultimate weapon of the Galactic Empire - the Death Star. Darth Vader denies that incident was his fault.
There's also a clever exchange between Darth Vader and the officer on the difference between "use of force" and "use of the force." Darth Vader displays his special skills by moving the officer's coffee mug across the table.
When asked about his breathing issues, Darth avoids the question by stealing the officer's weapon and trying to use a Jedi mind trick to convince the cop to hire him.
Needless to say, the interview doesn't result in the department hiring Darth Vader. In fact, they don't even validate his parking.
