MINNEAPOLIS - The news of Prince's death left many people flocking to First Avenue to honor the legendary singer. And it seems Dave Chappelle is no exception.
It was only a few years ago when Chappelle took up a short-term residence at the club, continually adding performances until he had performed a whopping 10 shows.
Chappelle's 2013 series of shows ended with -- what else? -- a pancake breakfast at Target Center, a wink and a nod to his highly memorable Chappelle Show skit that referenced the true story of Prince's take down during a basketball game with Charlie Murphy.
When Chappelle returns to town this month -- coming for a three-night, six-show run May 31 to June 2 -- one can only imagine he'll reference the purple icon at least a few times.
Tickets for the shows go on sale at noon Friday for $65.
UPDATE:
#ShowUpdate: Tickets for DAVE CHAPPELLE May 31 - June 2 are completely sold out.
