MINNEAPOLIS - A creatively carved creature is getting a lot of attention in south Minneapolis.

A couple had an old, rotting red oak tree in their yard, and instead of cutting it down they decided to make something out of it. They had it turned into the Lorax.

The origin story of this Lorax is fitting, because the popular Dr. Seuss character came from a chopped-down tree.
