MINNEAPOLIS - Primary voting hit a record high this year in Minneapolis.
With polls closed, Minneapolis elections officials say the unofficial tally is 93,534 voters - a new record for a midterm primary.
Early voting officially ended at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Those numbers were also record-breaking.
Minneapolis received 14,990 absentee ballots in total. That number surpassed every other total for almost two decades. In fact, it was almost as much as the combined primary totals from 1994 to 2014.
