ST PAUL, Minn. — Students in the St. Paul Public School District Wednesday are filling out cards to send to people in the community.
The district's 'Share the Love' event is taking place Wednesday at Global Arts Plus Upper Campus.
The event has been going on since 2015. More than 3,500 students are expected to send cards this year to thank anyone they want in the community and send them a message of support.
"Police officer, school principal, obviously our teachers, our educational assistants, anyone that they truly think impacts their life," said Community Ed. Director, Tony Walker. "They know the people that really care about them and this is their way, one way to show they give back, as well."
The district's community education department provides the supplies and pays for the postage.
