Fairview, Blue Cross reach deal on contract

Fairview Health Services and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota have reached an agreement on a contract for next year.

MINNEAPOLIS - Fairview Health Services and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota have reached an agreement on a contract for next year. That will allow more than 250,000 people to continue seeing their doctors. This means Fairview clinics and hospitals will continue to participate in Blue Cross' provider networks.

"Blue Cross is glad our members can continue care with their Fairview caregivers. The agreement allows us to provide uninterrupted care and coverage to our members while addressing rising healthcare costs." said Garrett Black, senior vice president of health services at the insurance company, in a released statement.
