BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The first hotel to be built at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport officially kicked off its construction Tuesday.
The 250,000-square-foot hotel is on track to be completed by summer 2018. The 12-story building will feature 291 rooms and will connect to Terminal 1, via a sky bridge to Concourse C.
The hotel will have its own TSA security checkpoint, two restaurants, a penthouse-level observation deck bar, a spa, a fitness center and more.
Officials say the hotel will open next summer.
