BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - While the city of Chanhassen continues to wrestle the re-zoning issues involved to turn Paisley Park into a museum, the Mall of America has announced a new, free Prince exhibit, now open to the public.
"Prince: The Artist, The Icon, The Legend" is located on Level 3 East and features Prince's "rare artifacts and wardrobe" from the Paisley Park Archives.
The display includes the wardrobe seen in the singer's "Raspberry Beret" music video, as well as a custom outfit made for Prince to wear at the 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Visitors can also find a variety of Prince and Paisley Park-themed merchandise for sale. The exhibit will run through Nov. 14.
The exhibit is being presented by Paisley Park, as organizers continue to work with the city to open the space up for public tours. The production complex is open for a few select tours in October, thanks to temporary permitting but no other tickets have been sold at this time.
