ALEXANDRIA, Minn. - A KARE 11 viewer caught some cool video of a funnel cloud with some serious rotation from a storm system moving through the Alexandria area Wednesday afternoon.
Doug Hasz tweeted us the video saying: "Rotation but no touch down, over Villard, MN."
A funnel cloud is a rotating cone-shaped column of air extending downward from a storm, but not touching the ground. When it reaches the ground it is called a tornado.
Stay tuned Wednesday evening for possible stormy weather moving through the metro and other parts of the region.
