RICHFIELD, Minn. — As COVID-19 continues to impact businesses big and small across Minnesota, Richfield-based Best Buy has announced it is closing all of its locations temporarily except for curbside pickup services, according to Best Buy representative Matthew Smith.

When using the curbside service, customers can indicate items they've already ordered online or through the company's app. The company says that those who are unable to place orders online can have an employee check to see if an item is in-store - which an employee will then go in the store to retrieve and deposit outside.

Customers will still also be able to purchases items from Best Buy's online website or via the company's app and have them delivered to their homes.

Prior to the announcement, the company made attempts to continue in-store purchases by limiting the number of customers inside at a time, reducing its workforce on staff and shortening its hours of operation, according to CEO Corie Barry

Best Buy has not offered KARE 11 a timeline for how long this new policy will last.
