St. Louis Park votes to ban the sale of vaping products

The ban goes into effect Feb. 1.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. — St. Louis Park is now the first city in Minnesota to ban the sale of vaping products.

The city council voted 6-1 in favor of approving the ban Monday evening at a regular council meeting. 

The ban will go into effect Feb. 1.

The decision to ban vaping products comes after alarming nation-wide health concerns related to vaping.

More than 2,500 cases have been reported across the nation. There have been 54 deaths, according to health officials.
