HUDSON, Wis. - A Hudson police officer was brought to the hospital Wednesday after a squad was rear-ended on I-94.
According to Hudson Police Chief Geoff Williams, a driver was merging onto I-94 on the Hudson bridge. When other drivers would not get out of the way, the driver ran out of room and could not stop on the icy bridge deck, hitting a squad car.
Hudson police said the squad was there helping with a previous crash. The officer was inside the vehicle and was brought to the hospital, where they were treated and released.
The other driver has minor injuries. There was no dash cam of the crash.
Hudson police took the opportunity to remind drivers on Facebook, "Slow down and MOVE OVER when you see emergency vehicles and maintenance vehicles."
