Now his father and brother are launching a cross-country bike tour to raise money to help others who need the same therapy.

The Mankato Free Press reports Blaine and Abe Kolstad will bike 3,300 miles from Oregon to New Jersey on a trip they've dubbed the "Coast 22 Coast."

The pair hopes to raise $40,000 for patients with brain and spinal-cord injuries on the journey that's expected to last seven to 10 weeks.

Blaine Kolstad says the occupational and physical therapy programs for his son, Isaac, cost thousands of dollars and were partly covered by scholarships.

He says he wants to help others received the same help Isaac did.
