MINNEAPOLIS- The Minnesota Golden Gophers defeated the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, September 27 to bring the Little Brown Jug home to Minnesota for the first time since 2005. As part of the celebration, TCF Bank is proud to partner with Cub Foods and the University of Minnesota to bring this highly coveted and guarded earthenware trophy on tour at select TCF branch and Cub Food locations around the Twin Cities from October 8-14.
Gophers fans can show their loyalty by coming out to take photos with the jug and also touch it for a little extra luck in advance of the highly anticipated showdown against the Northwestern Wildcats this Saturday.
Dating back to 1909, the annual battle for the Little Brown Jug is the oldest trophy game in college football, pitting the Golden Gophers against the Wolverines.
