SOUTH SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Investigators with the South St. Paul Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating after a man was shot and killed on Friday.
According to a release from the department, officers were called to the 400 block of 3rd Ave. S for a report of shots fired at 4:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, the officers found a man lying near the shoulder of the road suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the torso.
First responders on the scene attempted life-saving efforts at the scene, but the man was transported to a local hospital where he died.
