ST PAUL, Minn. — Fourteen people were cited for trespassing after hopping the fence at the temporary Governor's Residence Wednesday evening during a protest.
The rally, which was calling on Gov. Tim Walz to divest from Israel, began outside Eastcliff Mansion the University of Minnesota's campus just before 5:30 p.m. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, there were about 100 people participating in the demonstration, and at one point, 14 people — 12 women and two men — climbed the fence of the property. Officials say all 14 people were cited and released.
