ROSEVILLE, Minn. - The lucky winner of Minnesota's Gopher 5 $1.8 million jackpot has been identified.
Stephen Braun, of Buffalo, Minnesota, had a ticket that matched all five Gopher 5 numbers to win the $1.8 million jackpot Wednesday.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Holiday Stationstore located at 7 8th Street NE in Buffalo. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
"I couldn’t believe it, I’m still waiting to wake up,” Braun said.
The $1,869,493 jackpot is the third highest in the game's history.
Also a ticket sold in Hastings, Minn. won $50,000 in the Powerball after matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball.
The winning Hastings ticket was sold at a the Hastings Holiday located at 1500 Vermillion Street.
The Oct. 24 winning Powerball numbers were 3-21-45-53-56 and the Powerball was 22.
