2 Minnesotans dead after truck crashes into motorcycles on highway

Officials said the truck driver crossed the centerline on a western Wisconsin highway.

NELSON, Wis — Two Minnesota men are dead and another is hurt after a crash in western Wisconsin. 

According to the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened just after 10:30 a.m. last Friday, Sept. 27. 

An Alma, Wisconsin man was driving a pickup truck north on State Highway 35 when he crossed the centerline near Deer Creek Road, officials said. The driver struck three motorcycles going south on the highway. 

Two motorcyclists, one man from Rochester and the other from Chatfield, Minnesota, died as a result of the crash. The third motorcyclist, from Rushford, Minnesota, was hurt. The driver of the truck was not injured, according to the sheriff's office.
