PLYMOUTH, Minn. - Two officers involved in Friday's fatal shooting of a man accused of shooting a woman, before running her over with a vehicle, have been identified.

Authorities say Officer Steve Larson and Officer Quincy Grabau were involved in the Feb. 12 incident on the 5200 block of Annapolis Lane.

Larson has been with the Plymouth Police Department since 2005, while Grabau started in 2013.

One of the officers -- police did not say who -- was hit during the shootout with the suspect at the apartment building and treated for minor injuries.

Both have been placed on administrative leave during the investigation, which is standard.

The incident began around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Northwest Boulevard and Rockford Road after police say a woman with a gunshot wound was found near the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the investigation of the woman's death, officers were dispatched to an apartment building on the 5200 block of Annapolis Lane, just north of the original location.

There, they found a man with a gun, wearing a bulletproof vest, who began firing at officers. Shots were exchanged and the man was later found dead.

He was identified by his attorney as 28-year-old Corey Perry. The woman was identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner as 28-year-old Trisha Nelson.
