ST PAUL, Minn. — The St. Paul and Minneapolis public school districts have canceled all after-school activities and programs Tuesday, citing fallout from the ongoing spring storm.

In a release, SPPS says K-12 Extended Day Learning, Flipside and Middle School Athletics are canceled. The district says some evening school events may be held on a case-by-case basis, including high school athletics.

Discovery Club will remain open until every child has been picked up.

Community Education evening activities and classes will be held as scheduled unless attendees are separately communicated.

In Minneapolis, all student after-school activities (including in-person and online adult education classes, early childhood programs, and athletic games and practices) will be canceled.

Minneapolis Kids will remain open until all students are picked up.

The district also reminds parents that snow and ice covered roads may slow down buses and create transportation delays. They recommend downloading the MPS "Here Comes The Bus" app to track where their student is, and when they are expected to arrive.
