GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Eye drops instead of wearing glasses? It’s happening. The drops, are proven to improve farsightedness right away and last for a few hours.
Chu Vision Institute in the Twin Cities is participating in the clinical trials as an Investigation Site for FDA approval of the technology.
The eye drops are designed for many of us over the age of 45 who have presbyopia (more than half of us have this age-related farsightedness) and depend on reading glasses.
Think about when you work out on a treadmill and don’t want to wear your clunky glasses to watch your stats on the screen. Or maybe you’re going on a date and pulling out your reading glasses to look at the menu IS NOT the look you’re going for.
The impact this new technology could have is exciting! We sat down with Dr. Y. Ralph Chu, Founder of Chu Vision Institute to talk about the specifics.
