MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — A person was found dead in a wooded area of Maple Grove Wednesday. Police did not identify this person, but said it could be related to a missing teen in the area.
Seventeen-year-old Nathaniel Chambers was last seen on Aug. 7 in Maple Grove. Police described him as a runaway who left on a bike.
On Wednesday, authorities were called to the 7200 block of Teakwood Lane for a report of a deceased person found in the woods.
Chamber's mother posted on Facebook Wednesday saying it was her son that was found along a bike trail he frequented.
The identity of the person found dead as well as how they died has not yet been released by the The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Maple Grove police said in a press release there is "no evidence of criminal activity, and there are no concerns for community safety."
