GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - The KARE 11 Weather family has a new member, although it will be awhile before she's ready to present a forecast or 7 day outlook.
Meteorologist Laura Betker and her husband Bryan welcomed a baby girl into the world Monday. Gwen Marie arrived just before 11:30 a.m., weighing six pounds and 13 ounces, measuring 19 1/2 inches long. Pictures show little Gwen lounging in a sheepskin blanket, appropriate considering she arrived during the coldest stretch of the winter so far.
Laura's pal and weather cohort Belinda Jensen is already crowing about the bundle of cuteness like a proud auntie.
Both meteorologist mom and baby are doing just fine.
